Equestrian activities in Killarney
Killarney offers a wide choice of Equestrian options, from organised

Horse Racing in Killarney and County Kerry
Killarney Racecourse is arguably one of the most scenically situated
horse tracks in the world. Nestling on the shores of Lough Leane
at the foot of Tomies mountains, it hosts seven days of magnificent
racing each year, with a mixed card of Flat, Hurdle and Steeplechase.
Kerry has another excellent racetrack in Listowel where the renowned
annual event – the Listowel Races occurs every September.
For the Dog Racing enthusiast, the Kingdom Greyhound Track in Tralee
(30 mins drive) offers Dog Racing with top class facilities, on a
number of nights per week throughout the year.

Shopping
Killarney is rapidly becoming a wonderful shopping experience.
Its extensive range of retail outlets range from the small “curiosity” type
shops to the large department stores selling many of the leading
national and international brands in fashion and giftware.
Downtown Killarney offers late night shopping from May to October,
with many of the stores open seven days a week.
